In 2016, the City of Lynchburg engaged the BCWH/Tappé team to help re-create a complete interior renovation of the City’s Main Library. The City of Lynchburg envisions the Library as a source of community pride reflecting a 21st century library service model.

Our architectural process commenced with detailed programming discussions with the Library staff and City leadership. Community outreach activities included a public meeting and both an on-line and print patron survey.  This compiled research of the Lynchburg community became the foundation of the project’s functional space requirements to ensure a space the entire community can enjoy.

The project's concept design has been completed and as funding becomes available, our team will develop the design further and provide documents for a phased renovation of the Library’s interiors.
