Hollywood Cemetary Master Plan

Hollywood Cemetery

Presidents Circle & Master Plan

Founded in 1847 as one of the nation’s first rural cemeteries, Hollywood commissioned us in 1995 to develop their first Master Plan. More recently, we updated the Plan, incorporating new burial spaces, preserving historic assets and more efficiently managing the landscape. The Master Plan is intended to sustain Hollywood as an active cemetery for generations to come.

Today, history is being made. Our design for Presidents Circle (burial place of James Monroe and John Tyler) was constructed to accomodate 1000 new niche burials. Visitors enjoy cobbled walkways, a new tree canopy and a design that perfectly complements its historic setting.
