Caroline Matteson

Caroline Matteson

Caroline Matteson originally came to BCWH as an Interior Design Intern while completing her Masters of Fine Arts in Interior Design at Virginia Commonwealth University. We loved Caroline’s work so much that we hired her to join our team full time after graduation. Caroline pursued interior design because she used it as a way to unwind from her prior work, and realized that she could create a career from the way she chose to spend leisure time. Specifically, she loves institutional design because of the services it provides to the community, and she enjoys making public spaces practical and beautiful.

When not creating new visions for our client’s projects, you might find Caroline singing with a choir, hiking, hanging out on the James River or pampering her two cats. She’s still searching for a “sushi-rito” in Richmond to handle her love of both tacos and sushi.
