BCWH, Eperitus, & Dr. Carol Cash win CEFPI Prize for Educational Planning Research!
BCWH, Eperitus and Dr. Carol Cash (former principal of Hanover High School) recently won the Council of Educational Facilities Planners Southeast Prize for Educational Planning Research for our Hanover High School Post-Occupancy Review. The review, entitled "Hanover High School – The First Ten Years - Have We Embedded a Culture of Change?" was conducted with the same group of people involved in the original planning of the high school ten years prior. Its purpose was so see if all of the planning goals were met and how, we as architects, planners, and educators, can learn from this process and improve future planning and facility endeavors.
The purpose of this honor is to encourage theoretical awareness, educational exchange, thought and research, both within academic institutions and within the offices of practicing educators, facility planners and architects. The resulting exchange of design research and scholarship will enrich the value and relevance of CEFPI as a leader in educational facility planning.
